Ascot 2007

Top day out with Andy, Freeman, Guy and Matt, made even better by me winning the first two races and £993 (Micky Channon - You're a legend!!!). Obviously this meant a decent amount of champers for the remainder of the day....

Baby Boyes Update

Well, Adam's now just over four months old and is fantastic, even when he's being a pain..... Can't believe the time's going so quickly and he's changed so much. More photos have been uploaded here, and we have to say he's REALLY CUTE!!!

Saints for the Premier League?

Saints managed to sneak into the Championship play off places at the weekend with a thumping 4-1 win over the Shrimpers.

I reckon that we might sneak it against Derby 4-3 on aggregate but if we get to the play off final it's anybody's guess......

It's going to be nerve racking stuff whatever happens, Come On You Reds!!!!!!

Long time no blog......

Very slack I know but it's amazing how much time Adam, work and general living takes up! More photos have been uploaded to photobox and he's also got his first youtube appearance - more will follow soon......

He's now 9 and bit weeks old and is doing really well. Very alert and taking it all in, putting on the ounces, sleeping well and giving us lots of smiles!

More photos!

If anybody wants to see more photos of the boy I've setup an album at photobox.co.uk which we will keep adding to. You can also order these photos directly if you want copies. I've also set-up a permanent link to the album from this blog.

Paternity leave is now finished and I went back to work on Thursday - boo!

So far so good!

Well, Adam is now 11 days old and has been home since Sunday 26th Feb. We have already become a dab hand at changing nappies, burping him and recognising his different cries (well most of the time...) for any of these activities or when food is required.

So far we've been very lucky and our nights are relatively undisturbed with just one feed required around 3.30am.

I'm quite surprised how quickly we've settled into a routine, unfortunately I'm going back to work on Thursday, but hopefully this won't upset things too much. Anyway, another picture to show just how cute he is....
Tonight we're sitting down for a boys night in to watch his first Saints game v Preston - Come on you Reds!!!!!

Hurry Up!!!!

D-day - 5

Still no baby boyzee...... so far the curry and raspberry tea have had no impact. Jude saw the midwife this morning and baby is fully engaged but the midwife doesn't think anything is going to happen for a couple more days!

The wait goes on......

D-Day -3!!

Still no baby Boyes and the uncertainty is killing us. Jude is trying reflexolgy to induce labour this afternoon and I think we're going to have a Valentines curry tonight!

Not long now..... (hopefully)....

No News....?

Have been a bit slack on the blogging front lately, apologies to all you avid readers (Mr La in NZ especially....)

Well, first off - no new arrival as yet, only 5 days until due date so I guess it's any time soon! We're pretty much prepared, with baby stuff anyway - I've even fitted the car seat! The mental preparation is now underway but I don't think any amount of visualisation or being "in the zone" is going to prepare me for what's ahead. I just hope I don't throw up, faint or generally get in the way!

Other news.... finally got the kitchen finished a week or so ago, so we're ready and waiting to cook lots of organic mush for junior in a few months time.

Pictures and full breakdown of the arrival will be available soon!

Baby Boyzee Update!

31 weeks gone, only 9 to go, can't wait!

We've finally started buying some baby stuff, and going to NCT classes to learn about the birth and what to do with it after it arrives. I'd really recommend them although it's only when you start talking about you realise how little you know!

Oh well, the main thing is that a decision on the Baby Travel System (Pram/Car Seat/Pushchair) has now been made and it's been ordered. Thanks to all for their advice, (especially The Earl's of Putney) and we've gone for the Quinny Buzz!

Only slightly less expensive than my first car, let's hope it doesn't break down in the first 6 months and get sent to the scrap yard!

Saints FA Cup 1976 footage

Found the following links showing Saints parade the FA Cup around Southampton in 1976 and some further footage of Mick Channon's testimonial game a few days later.

Check out the haircuts and Bobby Stokes receving a "Quality" car for scoring the winning goal in the final.

For those who don't know Saints beat Man Utd 1-0 (my Grandad missed the goal being scored as he was going for a pee.... oops!)

33!
Another year older, another year wiser? I guess so.....

Went into London for dinner with a few very good friends.. (The Earls, The Haines, The Pudneys, The Thompsons & Jamie), unfortunately Rach couldn't make due to a bad neck and The Sansoms pulled out as Chris had tonsillitis (Chris - get the bloody things taken out!!).

A good time was had by all (I think), although why the desire to order brandy, Armagnac and Calvados came over us God only knows....

A few photos can be found here

Looking back 10 years ago on my birthday, Saints beat Man Utd 6-3 - this year they lost 2-0 to Colchester. What the f**k's all that about.

Come on Saints sort it out!!!!

Line Rider
Basically a bloke on a sled riding along a line drawn on a virtual piece of paper. Sounds wierd, but is actually quite amusing. Although as is always the case in the world of the internet, some people have far too much time on their hands and take it too the extreme, e.g. this effort.....
